BALLYDEHOB to BELFAST – LEVIS HITS THE ROAD

Levisâ Corner House returns to The Duncairn Arts Centre to takeover for a weekend of music, creativity, food & collaboration
14thâ16th November 2025 | The Duncairn Arts Centre, Belfast
Building on the success of last yearâs The Ties That Bind project â part of the Creative Communities on a Shared Island initiative â two of Irelandâs most beloved grassroots venues, Levisâ Corner House (Ballydehob, West Cork) and The Duncairn Arts Centre (North Belfast), reunite this November to celebrate their ongoing creative partnership.
Over the past 18 months, artists from both communities have collaborated through residencies, performances, and exchanges â swapping rural West Cork for the city of Belfast and vice versa. These connections have sparked new artistic work, friendships, and creative conversations that continue to grow.
This yearâs Levis Takeover of The Duncairn (14â16th November) brings a packed two-day programme of music, food, art, and community events, deepening the cross-island creative links forged through The Ties That Bind.
Friday 14th November â Sing for Your Session
A craic filled evening of food, song, and dance as Levisâ signature âSing for You Supperâ arrives in Belfast – with a twist! Shared Island x CruinniĂș na nĂg
On Sunday a special performance will take place bringing together the young musicians from Belfast and Ballydehob who collaborated through CruinniĂș na nĂg earlier this year. Joined by members of the Duncairn Creative Collective and guided by Conor Caldwell, these young creatives will perform original compositions created through workshops in West Cork, Belfast and online. Supported by Creative Communities and Cork County Council, this event celebrates youth, creativity, and collaboration.
A Shared Creative Legacy
âMusic is a gentle way to dissolve boundaries and bring people closer,â says Joe OâLeary of Levisâ Corner House. âWhat began as a cultural exchange has grown into a real friendship between our communities. Small can be beautiful â and the legacy of this collaboration will continue to ripple through both places for years to come.â
The Ties That Bind partnership between Levisâ Corner House and The Duncairn is funded by Creative Irelandâs âCreative Communities on a Shared Islandâ initiative, supported by Cork County Council and Belfast City Council.
