Lá an Dreoilín/Wren’s Day on 26th December traditionally centres around the capturing of a wren (often pronounced as ‘wran’) which is said to bring luck.
There will be no intention to capture wrens in the village ..but we will gather in Levis from 3.30pm. There will tunes, sharing of the Wren day traditions in Cork, in Ireland & even further afield, and a small hop, skip & a march up the village. We will shake some buckets for the Simon Community & land back for a session.
Gather in Levis at 3.30pm 26th December – Costumes welcome. Straw Persons. Instruments. Songs. Turkey Sandwiches. All good.
