Laytha (formerly Taobh Eile) + Rua Rí perform Live At Levis ( Double Bill)
With a sound that is as wild, beautiful and untamed as their home in the west of Ireland comes Laytha. An indie-folk duo cut from the same cloth as Saint Sister and First Aid Kit, these Irish singer-songwriters specialise in weaving fiery tales and cold ballads. A fusion of contemporary indie melodies and harmonies with dark, traditional folkish rhythms, the roots of Laytha run deep and spread wide.

Rua Rí is a singer-songwriter from Cobh in Cork. Growing up on an island, it is
rare that the sea does not bleed into the folk artists music in one way or
another. Other influences of his music include 70s folk and traditional Irish
music. The 22-year -old writes warm, melodic folk songs accompanied with his
own distinct vocal tone and accent. The artists’ first release, ‘Shepherd’s
Delight,’ is a 5-track homemade EP that he recorded with the help of his friends.
